LPQ(1MDQS) COMMAND REFERENCE LPQ(1MDQS)

NAME
lpq - print queue status via MDQS

SYNOPSIS
     lpq [ -q queue ]

DESCRIPTION
Lpq calls the MDQS program qstat(1mdqs), selecting printer
queue information. See qstat for detailed information.

Lpq returns request identifications for queued print jobs,
where a request identification is in the form user.job#. The
job number is all that is usually required for lprm.

OPTIONS
     -q queue
specifies queue configured in /etc/qconf. Default queue
is print-queue specified in /etc/qconf. Qstat -a lists
        all available queues.

EXAMPLES
          lpq

FILES
     /etc/qconf MDQS configuration file

RETURN VALUE
     [NO_ERRS] Command completed without error.

[USAGE] Incorrect command line syntax. Execution
                    terminated.

[NP_ERR] An error occurred that was not a system
                    error. Execution terminated.

CAVEATS
Rsh privileges are required in order to display requests in
     a remote queue.

Things can change while lpq is running; the picture it gives
is only a close approximation of reality. For instance, lpq
may produce false error messages if it cannot find a
particular file or if a data structure it is looking at
     changes underneath it.
