PRINTENV(1) COMMAND REFERENCE PRINTENV(1) NAME printenv - print out the environment SYNOPSIS printenv [ name ] DESCRIPTION Printenv prints out the values of the variables in the environment. If a name is specified and has a value, only its value is printed. Only one name may be specified. If no name is specified, all variables are printed, one per line, in the format: name=value EXAMPLES The following example prints the name of the user's home directory. printenv HOME RETURN VALUE [NO_ERRS] Command completed without error. [1] Specified variable is not defined. [USAGE] Incorrect command line syntax. Execution terminated. [NP_WARN] An error warranting a warning message occurred. Execution continues.
