CAL(1) COMMAND REFERENCE CAL(1) NAME cal - print calendar SYNOPSIS cal [month ] year DESCRIPTION Cal prints a calendar for the specified year. If a month is also specified, a calendar just for that month is printed. The month is a number between 1 and 12. Year can be between 1 and 9999. The calendar produced is a Julian calendar. Try September 1752. EXAMPLES The following example prints the calendar for 1983: cal 1983 This example prints the calendar for the current month: cal `date +%m` 19`date +%y` RETURN VALUE [NO_ERRS] Command completed without error. [USAGE] Incorrect command line syntax. Execution terminated. [NP_ERR] An error occurred that was not a system error. Execution terminated. CAVEATS The year is always considered to start in January even though this is historically naive. Beware that `cal 78' refers to the early Christian era, not the 20th century. SEE ALSO date(1).
