DDP(4) — DEVICES AND NETWORK INTERFACES
NAME
DDP − AppleTalk Datagram Delivery Protocol
DESCRIPTION
The DDP interface provides access to AppleTalk protocols. DDP is the basic socket to socket delivery mechanism common to all Apple’s protocol stacks. Ethernet packets with the special type number 0x809B are interpreted and generated. An Ethernet/AppleTalk gateway is used to access the 230 Kb/s Apple Personal Network.
