NAME
setup.pcs − DOS Windows configuration file
AVAILABILITY
DOS Windows for Sun-3 and Sun-4 workstations.
DESCRIPTION
setup.pcs describes the DOS Windows configuration for various system variables like printers, file sytems and serial ports. Since you can specify a configuration file with the -p command-line option to DOS Windows, a user can have several configurations for different applications.
There are a few rules for internal expansion of SunOS variables in setup.pcs.
$DOSDIR Directory containing the DOS Windows distribution.
$<ENV> environment variable ENV.
~ home directory.
~USER home directory of USER.
SMALL -1 Amount of cache folding ("0" reduces the amount of memory DOS Windows needs at startup, at the expense of some speed) Using this option sometimes yields better performance on small memory systems.
ROM $DOSDIR/files/rom The image used to initialize the ROM BIOS

CMOS $DOSDIR/cmos The image of your "battery backed up cmos ram"
$DOSDIR/files/cmos
A File name to use to access drive A.
B File name to use to access drive B.
C $DOSDIR/C: File name to use to access drive C
D $DOSDIR/files/C:
D File name to use to access drive D.
TYPE_C 2 Default drive type for drive C.
TYPE_D 2 Default drive type for drive D.
COM1 File name for first serial port.
COM2 File name for second serial port.
LPT1 lpr Program to process LPT1 output.
LPT2 cat >> $HOME/lpt2
Program to process LPT2 output.
LPT3 pxfx80 $DOSDIR/files/psfx80.pro | lpr
Program to process LPT3 output.
XPMEM 1024 Amount of expanded (EMS) memory to emulate.
The ROM is the BIOS ROM image to use for DOS Windows. You must use the BIOS ROM delivered with DOS Windows. You cannot use a SunIPC ROM image or a Sun386i image.
CMOS controls the cmos_ram image for the emulation. This file can be manipulated by the program. This file controls the number of floppies and hard disks that the BIOS recognizes, as well as the default monitor type.
DRIVE_C describes the file used to emulate the C drive. This file contains the and you use when booting DOS Windows.
