NAME
dbshut - shuts down the database
SYNOPSIS
dbshut [n] [-v] [-i] [-m]
DESCRIPTION
The dbshut utility is used to shut down the ORACLE system.
OPTIONS
n
Grace time (in seconds) to allow before shutdown.
-v
Verbose switch. Echoes messages.
-i
Ignore switch; ignores the database's lock condition.
-m
Message switch. Lets you provide your own text for warning
messages.
