     dbhome - finds correct value of $ORACLE_HOME


SYNOPSIS
     dbhome


DESCRIPTION
     The dbhome executable is used to find the correct  value  of
     $ORACLE_HOME  based  on  a  user-supplied $ORACLE_SID. If it
     cannot match the ORACLE_SID to a value  in  the  /etc/oratab
     file,  it  uses  the home directory for the user oracle from
     /etc/passwd.
