osinitdir − initialize a Directory Manager

SYNOPSIS

osinitdir

DESCRIPTION

osinitdir initializes a Directory Manager. Execution of this is required prior to starting the Directory Manager for the first time at a given site. 

osinitdir aborts if a Directory Manager or Server is active. To run it on a local machine, specify a local Directory Manager to be contacted instead of a site-wide one by setting OS_DIRMAN_HOST.
