oshostof − determine host of a database

SYNOPSIS

oshostof pathname

DESCRIPTION

oshostof takes one argument, a database pathname, determines what host the database is on, and prints the name of the host to standard output.  oshostof works for both file and Directory Manager databases. The normal pathname syntax is supported, including the OS_DIRMAN_HOST compatibility feature. 

A typical use is as follows:

   ossvrchkpt ‘oshostof a/b/c‘
