setup123(1)  —  USER COMMANDS

NAME

setup123 - create or modify the per-user configuration files for Lotus 1-2-3

SYNOPSIS

setup123 [-bkp] [-s | -u username]

DESCRIPTION

The setup123 utility manages the 1-2-3 per-user databases that store individual preferences. These databases allow users to customize their 1-2-3 options for default graphics drivers, default file mode, default languages, default keyboard maps, and default printers.

-b ................ makes the base_directory configuration screen available in setup123. This is an advanced feature.

-k ................ makes the keyboard database configuration screen available in setup123. This is an advanced feature.

-p ................ makes the printer interface configuration screen available in setup123. This is an advanced feature.

-s ................ creates or modifies the system-wide default configuration file <base_directory>/123.v10/.l123set.  This option can only be used by the person installing or administering 1-2-3. Additional configuration options are available to the administrator running setup123 -s.

-u username ....... creates or modifies the per-user configuration file for the user specified by username.

With no switches, the setup123 utility performs the default action, to create or modify the configuration files of the user executing the setup123 command.  The global system-wide default configuration files may be modified only by users with proper access rights.
