NAME
aviator - networked flight simulator
SYNOPSIS
/usr/games/aviator/bin/aviator
DESCRIPTION
aviator is an advanced realtime networked flight simulator program for
the Sun GX family of workstations. aviator offers highly detailed and
accurate terrain graphics using USGS data and aircraft dynamics.

ENVIRONMENT
Several environment variables are supported by aviator to customize
aviator to nonstandard systems. Normally none of these environment
variables need to be set:
AVIATOR_HOME points to the home directory for aviator, if
it is other than /usr/games/aviator.
AVIATOR_PASSWORDS points to the file that contains the passwords,
if it is not /usr/games/aviator/passwords or
${AVIATOR_HOME}/passwords.
AVIATOR_CRAFT points to the craft directory, if it is other
than /usr/games/aviator/craft or
${AVIATOR_HOME}/craft.
AVIATOR_TERRAIN points to the terrain directory, if it is
other than /usr/games/aviator/terrain or
${AVIATOR_HOME}/terrain.
AVIATOR_INTERFACE is the name of the interface that supports
broadcasting (ethernet or FDDI).
AVIATOR_DEVICE is the name of the graphics device if other
than console. Defaults to /dev/fb.
EXAMPLES
The first example executes aviator from shell script, the second
executes aviator and should be placed in the ~/.openwin-init file,
and the third make aviator full screen if there is excessive window
system color flashing.
