OCT(4) — UNIX Programmer’s Manual
NAME
oct − Central Data Octal Serial Card
DESCRIPTION
The Central Data Octal Serial Card provides 8 communication lines suitable for use with local ASCII terminals. Each line attached to the Octal Serial Card behaves as described in tty(4) and may be set to run at any of 16 speeds; see tty(4) for the encoding.
The Octal Serial Card has no buffering on its input lines and so can not handle high speed input.
CONFIGURATION
The Octal Serial Card should be configured for Multibus I/O address 0x520 and interrupt level 2.
