NAME

contrast − Adjust system screen contrast

SYNOPSIS

/usr/openwin/bin/contrast [ ] [ [ step ] ]

AVAILABILITY

SUNWpmowu

DESCRIPTION

contrast(1M) is a binary that can be used to adjust the system screen contrast level.

OPTIONS

−u step Increase contrast by step.

−d step Decrease contrast by step.

−k This is the repeater mode for the binary. The binary expects the letter ’k’ on its STDIN and increases or decreases the contrast by one until STDIN is closed by the other side. This is the mode in which the binary interacts with the speckeysd(1M) daemon.

NOTES

The contrast level is adjusted by communicating with the Power Management driver, pm(7D), through ioctls provided by the Power Management Framework.

This application only controls the contrast level of flat-panel display used in SparcStation Voyager.
