NAME
corvette − low-level module for IBM Micro Channel SCSI-2 Fast/Wide Adapter/A
AVAILABILITY
x86
DESCRIPTION
The corvette module provides low-level interface routines between the common disk/tape I/O subsystem and the IBM Micro Channel SCSI-2 (Small Computer System Interface) Fast/Wide Adapter/A controllers. The corvette module can be configured for disk and streaming tape support for one or more host adapter boards, each of which must be the sole initiator on a SCSI bus. Auto configuration code determines if the adapter is present at the configured address and what types of devices are attached to it.
CONFIGURATION
Board Configuration and Auto Configuration
The driver attempts to initialize itself in accordance with the information found in the configuration file, /kernel/drv/corvette.conf. Each controller supports two logically independent SCSI busses, an internal bus and an external bus. Each system may support upto 8 controllers depending on the number of available mother-board slots.
FILES
