NAME

id − print the user name, user ID, group name and group ID

SYNOPSIS

/usr/bin/id [ −a ]

DESCRIPTION

id displays your user ID, user name, group ID and group name. If your real ID and your effective IDs do not match, both are printed. 

OPTIONS

−a Reports user name, user ID and all the groups to which the user belongs.
