intro − OLIT 3.0 Reference Manual

DESCRIPTION

This reference manual describes the widgets and associated functions of the OPEN LOOK Intrinsics Toolkit widget set.  This section describes the organization of this reference manual. 

ORGANIZATION

This reference manual is divided into an four parts. 

Part 1: Introduction contains:

a description of some of the new features of this release: differences(3W)
and a diagram of the class hierarchy, classtree(3W). 

Part 2: Common Resources This part describes all common widget resources in alphabetical order.  It includes the section, resources(3W). 

Part 3: Widgets

This part describes the OLIT widgets in alphabetical order. 

Part 4: Utility Functions

This part provides an alphabetical list of the utility functions and the manpages that they are discussed in: functions(3W)

The library function descriptions are grouped by topic, and the topics are presented in alphabetical order. Thus, OlTextEditClearBuffer appears in textedit(3W).  Function groups associated with a widget are named for the widget all in lower case, textedit for TextEdit. 

In addition, every function is available on line with the man command, bringing up the man page for the entire group.
