ldf − load POSTSCRIPT defined NeWS font

SYNOPSIS

ldf [ fontname ]

DESCRIPTION

ldf loads a POSTSCRIPT font into the server.  When no argument is specified, it prints out all the POSTSCRIPT language fonts in $FONTPATH. When an argument is specified, ldf searches in $FONTPATH for a font with that name and loads the first instance that it finds. 

As of OpenWindows Version 3, the X11/NeWS server will automatically load any Type 3 POSTSCRIPT fonts in the server’s $FONTPATH when a client first requests them.  Thus, this command is no longer necessary and will be eliminated in a future release.
