NAME
swmtool − install, upgrade, and remove software packages
SYNOPSIS
swmtool [ −d directory ] [ config-file ]
DESCRIPTION
The Software Manager, swmtool, is an OPEN LOOK application that installs, upgrades, and removes packages on a local or remote system.
Once you are logged in, you may run swmtool to examine the packages on your local system.
To install, upgrade, or remove packages, you must have super-user privileges for the target system.

OPTIONS
−d directory Specify the directory containing the software to be installed.
EXAMPLES
The following example starts the Software Manager and tells it to look for software packages in the local directory /cdrom/cdware_5:
example% /usr/sbin/swmtool −d /cdrom/cdware_5
FILES
./.swmrc configuration file, stores the property values of the Software Manager
