/etc/TIMEZONE

DESCRIPTION

This file sets and exports the time zone environmental variable TZ. 

This file is “dotted” into other files that must know the time zone. 

EXAMPLES

/etc/TIMEZONE for the east coast:

#   Time Zone
TZ=EST5EDT
export TZ
