LOADMODULE(8)  —  MAINTENANCE COMMANDS

NAME

loadmodule − load a module

DESCRIPTION

The loadmodule command is used by the X11/NeWS server to install loadable drivers into the UNIX kernel.  loadmodule is not intended as a user interface routine; it is a utility program for use by OpenWindows only. 

NOTES

In order for the X11/NeWS server to run loadmodule, loadmodule must be installed as setuid root and NFS mounts to the loadmodule command must use the suid option.

/sys/sunX/OBJ/evqmod-sunX.o evq loadable driver
