intro − introduction to FORTRAN library functions

DESCRIPTION

This section describes those functions that are in the FORTRAN run time library.  The functions listed here provide an interface from f77 programs to the system in the same manner as the C library does for C programs.  They are automatically loaded as needed by the Fortran compiler f77(1). The link editor searches this library under the ‘−lm’ option. Declarations for these functions may be obtained from the include file <math.h>.
