NAME
us, uda − low-level SCSI adapter module for UltraStor Adapters
DESCRIPTION
The UltraStor adapter driver, us(7) is a SCSI interface that works with Ultra 14, 24, and 34 SCSI models. It uses HPDD as the interface to the file system. uda(7) is UltraStor’s EISA Disk Array driver which supports the Ultra 124F model. Both us(7) and uda(7) support the following features: bus mastering, async/sync negotiation, scatter/gather, multi-threading operation, disconnect, reselect, fast-SCSI 2, command linking and queueing. In addition, the model 124F supports Redundant Arrays of Inexpensive Drives (RAID) levels 0, 1, 4, and 5; 5 SCSI channels; and up to 35 SCSI devices.
Configurations
The us(7) and uda(7) are boot-loadable modules. uda expects the interrupt to be at IRQ 14. us expects the interrupt to be at IRQ 14; it expects the DMA channel at 5 and I/O address at 330 for ISA controllers.
