NAME
devnm − device name
SYNOPSIS
/etc/devnm [names]
DESCRIPTION
The devnm command identifies the special file associated with the mounted file system where the argument name resides.
This command is most commonly used by /etc/bcheckrc [see bcheckrc(1M)] to construct a mount table entry for the root device.
EXAMPLE
The command:
/etc/devnm /usr
produces
/dev/dsk/0s3
if /usr is mounted on /dev/dsk/0s3.
