NAME

deluser − remove a login from the system

SYNOPSIS

deluser loginid Yes/No logdir

DESCRIPTION

deluser is used to remove a user id from the system.  Once the id has been removed, the user will no longer have access to the system. 

loginid This is the login that is being removed from the system. 

Yes | No This argument determines whether or not the user’s files should be saved when the login is removed.  If Yes is specified, all files in the user’s home directory will be copied to /lost+found/<loginid> before the home directory is removed.  If No is specified, the files in $HOME will not be removed. 

logdir This is the user’s home directory.
