NAME
     chkbmap - change the keyboard mapping

SYNOPSIS
     chkbmap { -r | -h | country }

DESCRIPTION
     chkbmap changes the keyboard mapping which was used  by  the
     console  of  the NEWS bitmap display, to the keymap which is
     specified by country.

     This command is used to change the keyboard mapping on  ker-
     nel memory.


     The selectable country is one of the followings:

           keymap                         country
         --------------------------------------------------------
           JAPAN(NWP-411A) :  japanese    or       Japanese
           JAPAN(NWP-410   :  japanese_o  or       Japanese_o
           U.S.            :  us_english  or       US_English
           GERMANY         :  german      or       German
           FRANCE          :  french      or       French
           U.K.            :  uk_english  or       UK_English
           ITARIA          :  italian     or       Italian
           SPAIN           :  spanish     or       Spanish
           SWEDEN          :  swedish     or       Swedish
           DENMARK         :  danish      or       Danish
           NORWAY          :  norwegian   or       Norwegian
           PORTUGAL        :  portuguese  or       Portuguese
           FINLAND         :  finnish     or       Finnish


     For details on the each keymap, refer  to  NWM-660  "NEWS-OS
     Release 5.0 User's Guide".

     The default keymap is corresponds to the  language  selected
     when it is installed.


     In order to reset the keyboard mapping to  default,  if  you
     have  changed, execute chkbmap command with the default key-
     map argument again or reboot the system.

     -r      gets the current keymap (country) on kernel memory.

     -h      prints a usage message.
