NAME

lpf_sx549ymc, lpf_sx549ymck, lpf_sx549blck − XWD image print filters for NWP-549

SYNOPSIS

/usr/sony/lib/lpf_sx549ymc
/usr/sony/lib/lpf_sx549ymck
/usr/sony/lib/lpf_sx549blck

DESCRIPTION

lpf_sx549ymc, lpf_sx549ymck and lpf_sx549blck are lpr(1) output filters which take XWD format image data converted using the xwdconv command with the −mode pseudo4 option as input, and output it to the NWP-549 (color printer).
The three filters correspond to the different types of color ribbons which can be mounted in the NWP-549 (3-color, 4-color and monochrome ink sheet). Normally, only one NWP-549 entry is left in the file /etc/printcap (default colorprinter_name) and the other two are commented out (by typing a # at the beginning of the line). When using a remote printer, only one NWP-549 entry should be left in the /etc/printcap printer server machine file.

EXAMPLES

To use these filters, they must be recorded in the file /etc/printcap.
The default setting is:

:Sx=/usr/sony/lib/lpf_sx549{ymc,ymck,blck}: To execute it, the normal method of using lpr(1) should be employed:

lpr −Pcolorprinter_name −Sx XWDdata Note that the filter setting option (−Sx in this case) must be specified.

LIMIT
