NAME

faxmvlog − Moves FAX communication log file. 

SYNOPSIS

faxmvlog −file backup-logfile [ −line line-id ]

DESCRIPTION

faxmvlog copies content of communication log file into specified file, and deletes all logs in communication log file. 
faxmvlog operates only when privileged user (user level 0) executed it in the machine that has communication log file. 
New communication log file can be read using the command faxlsoldlog. 

The following options are recognized. 

−fil[e] file-name
Specifies communication log file name for back-up.

−li[ne] line-id
If multiple lines are connected, line ID (0 or 1) can be specified. 
If not specified, 0 is used.

DIAGNOSIS

If successful, exit status is 0. 
Otherwise, error message is written to stderr.

NOTES

Communication log file cannot be partially deleted.  Communication log file is recommended to save back-up so occasionally as not have too big communication log file. using faxmvlog command. 
This is not an ordinary FAX command that issues request to FAX daemon, but can be used during FAX daemon is operating.
It operates only in the machine that has communication log file.
