NAME
faxdclear − Clears send/receive directory.
SYNOPSIS
faxdclear [ −request ] [ −log ] [ −receive ] [ −box ] [ -line line-id ]
DESCRIPTION
faxdclear deletes the FAX send/receive data files and temporary files that are placed under the following directories, after reading FAX information file /var/sony/etc/faxdinfo.
• Request directory
• Communication log directory
• Receive directory
• Polling send directory
Initialization of request management file/reception management file/communication log management file are not executed. So, faxdclear command gives no effect on IDs that are given to request or received fax.
The following options are recognized.
−req[uest]
Deletes the FAX send data files and temporary files that are placed under request directory. It initializes request queue file and time specified request queue file.
−log Deletes communication log file and temporary file that are placed under communication log directory.
−rec[eive]
Deletes FAX receive data file and temporary file that are placed under receive directory.
−bo[x]
Deletes polling send data file and temporary file that are placed under polling send directory.
If above options are not specified, FAX send-receive data file and temporary files that are placed under request directory, communication log directory, receive directory and polling send directory, are deleted.
−li[ne] line-id
When multiple lines are connected, line ID ( 0 or 1) is specified.
If not specified, 0 is used.
FILES
/var/sony/etc/faxdinfoFAX information file
DIAGNOSIS
If successful, exit status is 0.
Otherwise, error message is written to stderr.
faxdclear If command is ended with error, after confirming the FAX information file /var/sony/etc/faxdinfo, faxdsetup command and faxdclear command are executed in this order, and environment for FAX daemon should be initialized.
NOTE
When the command faxdclear is executed, the request, received data and communication log file that remain in request queue or time specified request queue, are all deleted. If it is desired to keep communication log file, use the command faxmvlog save backup and then execute the command.
The command faxdclear should be executed by the same user who starts up FAX daemon, after daemon is ended.
