NAME

sxbitmap − NEWS Desk desktop tool, bitmap editor

SYNOPSIS

sxbitmap [ −toolkitoption ... ] [ −file file_name ]

DESCRIPTION

sxbitmap program is a tool that runs on X.  It can be used to create and edit bitmaps.
For detailed usage instructions, refer to Vol. 1 of the NEWS Desk User’s Guide in the NEWS-OS manual set.

OPTIONS

sxbitmap accepts all of the standard X Toolkit command line options, as well as the following.

−file file_name
Specifies the file that is to be loaded during startup. This is the file which will be edited. If no file is specified, the program reverts to the mode for creating a new, unnamed bitmap file.

RESOURCES

In addition to the resources defined by the widgets used by sxbitmap, the following are defined by the application itself.

backup_dir (class BackupDir)
Should a fatal error occur inside sxbitmap, the program terminates automatically.  Should this happen, the data which was being edited is saved to the directory specified by this resource.  The default is /usr/tmp.
