NAME

faxtelcall − Calls telephone from FAX board.

SYNOPSIS

faxtelcall −d telephone-number [ −l 1 ] [ −t interval ]

DESCRIPTION

faxtelcall is the command to call telephone using FAX board (NWB-239) and supplied hand-set.

−d telephone-number
specifies telephone number. If ’−’ is included in telephone-number, it means pause (give interval between dialing).

−l 1 (small letter ’L’ + figure 1)
specifies use of line 1 (2 nd) FAX board. If this option is not specified, line 0 (1 st) FAX board is used.

−t interval
specifies Connection time (in minute unit). If 0 is specified to interval, time becomes no limit. If this option is not specified, connection time is 10 minutes.

Dialing and calling the destination can be done with hand-set laid down.

After dialing, line is disconnected and command is ended at either timing of followings.

• After interval minutes has elapsed. One minute before disconnection, faxtelcall displays warning message to standard output. By inputting return from standard input, connection time can be extended another interval minutes. • If line is disconnected by the called party. • If command is ended with signal. • If hand-set is laid down.

MESSAGE

Following message is available.

parameter invalid.
Characters that cannot be used for telephone number are included.

disconnect in 1 minute: type return to connect more 10 minutes.
Time runs out in one minute.

timed out. disconnected.
Time has run out. Line is disconnected.

disconnected.
Line is disconnected.

board is not connected.
FAX board is not connected.

fax board is not initialized.
FAX board is not initialized.

fax board device busy.
FAX board is busy with other processings.

line busy.
FAX board is busy with other processings.

telephone is in use.
External telephone is in use.

NOTES

If this command is suspended with ’^Z’, etc., connection time is not checked.
If this command is executed in back ground, there is no way to extend connection time.
Hold function is not equipped.
If hand-set is not connected, line can be connected. (Use with hand-set connected.)
