CDFLS(1) — NEWS-OS Programmer’s Manual
NAME
cdfls − displays the profile data of CDFF files within directories
SYNOPSIS
cdfls [ −aclprt ] name ...
DESCRIPTION
If a CDFF filename is specified as the argument to this command, cdfls will display the filename and title of the corresponding document as well as any other information specified through the use of available options. If a directory is specified as the argument to this command, cdfls will display the same information for all CDFF files in the specified directory as described above.
When a directory is specified, only files in the directory having the extension .cdf are considered to be CDFF files. This distinction is not made when a filename has been specified.
If no argument is given to the command, the contents of the current directory are displayed. If multiple arguments are specified, specified files will be processed after specified directories.
OPTIONS
−l Outputs the document title, owner, byte size, time and date of last revision, and filename of each file in a long format.
−t Sorts files according to the time and date of the last revision (newest files first). If the time and date of the last revision is insufficient or garbled for any file, that file is treated as the oldest.
−a Outputs the following detailed attributes of CDFF files: filename, document title, number of pages, owner, name of word processor used in document creation, time and date the document was created, time and date of the last revision, number of revisions, information concerning the creation program, and information concerning the CDFF version used.
−r Sorts in reverse order. This option may be used alone or with the -t option.
−c Specifies that the time and date the document was created be used instead of the time and date of the last revision when sorting (with the −t option) or outputting (with the −l option).
−p Displays the number of pages of the specified CDFF file(s).
BUGS
Although very similar to ls(1) in appearance, cdfls is actually quite different in function.
It is assumed that an 80-column output device is being used.
