解説
sfep は、NEWS キーボードなどの ASCII キーボードを使って ヨーロッパの ドイツ語、フランス語、イタリア語、スペイン語、 ポルトガル語、スウェーデン語、フィンランド語、 オランダ語、ノルウェー語の入力を ISO 8859-1 のコードを使って行うフロントエンドプロセッサです。
sfep はターミナル上で起動し、ターミナルから入力された文字を コンポーズキーを使って、変換します。そして変換結果を、 sfep 上で動かしているアプリケーションに渡します。
オプション
−f shell
このオプションは、 sfep 起動時に実行されるシェルを指定します。デフォルトは /bin/csh です。
−h オプションの説明を表示し、 sfep は起動しません。
−L このオプションは、起動されるシェルをログインシェルとすることを示します。
−e program [arguments ...]
このオプションは、 sfep 起動時に実行されるプログラム及びその引数を指定します。 これは、コマンド行上の最後のオプションでなければなりません。
入力方法
sfep は、コンポーズキー方式で入力することができます。 例えば、ドイツ語のβ (Small German Letter SHARP s : 0xdf) を入力したい場合、 "コンポーズキー" + "s" + "s" で入力することができます。 NEWS キーボードでは、コンポーズキーは通常、スペースキーの右側のキーです。 コンポーズの仕方は次の表のとおりです。 NEWS ヨーロッパキーボードでは、この表の コンポーズの欄の ’(Quotation) は Acute Accent で、‘ (Back Quotation) は Grave Accent で、" (Double Quotation) は Diaeresis で代用することができます。
