NAME

lpf_clsif − LASER SHOT-compatible CDIF printer filter

SYNOPSIS

/usr/sony/lib/lpf_clsif

DESCRIPTION

lpf_clsif is an output filter used by lpr(1) for output of data input as a CDIF binary file (CDFF intermediate format) to a LASER SHOT printer. This filter is compatible with the font cartridge available for the LASER SHOT.

EXAMPLE

The filter name must be registered in /etc/printcap when using this filter.  For example, to add "cf" as the filter name to printer:lp, add the string to the field containing the entry for lp.

:cf=/usr/sony/lib/lpf_clsif: To execute the filter, enter:

lpr −Plp −c cdif-file Be sure to use the conventional command lpr(1). However, the option for specifying the filter must also be used. (−c is used in this example.)

FILES

/etc/printcap
