NAME

dx − X.25 packet switched data network interface

SYNOPSIS

device isdn0 at iop0 priority 120 (for 2CPU machine)
device isdn0 at hb0  priority 120 (for 1CPU machine)

DESCRIPTION

The dx interface provides access to a X.25 packet switched network.

The host’s Internet address is specified at boot time with an SIOCSIFADDR ioctl.  The dx interface performs static mapping between DTE addresses and Internet addresses based on information from the configuration files.

NWB-236 supports several access methods to wide area networks.  The dx represents one of these possibilities.
