NAME
sxmail − NEWS Desk desktop tool, E-mail handler
SYNOPSIS
sxmail [−toolkitoption ...] [options ...]
DESCRIPTION
The sxmail program is a tool for reading and organizing electronic mail that runs on X. It can be used to read mail, send replies to received messages and to transfer messages.
sxmail is the visual front-end for mh(1).
For detailed usage instructions, refer to Vol. 1 of the NEWS Desk User’s Guide in the NEWS-OS manual set.
OPTIONS
sxmail accepts all of the standard X Toolkit command line options, as well as the following.
−send Specifying this option runs sxsend(1).
−file file_name
Specifying this option runs sxsend(1) and reads in the specified file as the mail text.
−enc file_name
Specifying this option runs sxsend(1) and reads in the specified file as appended (enclosure) text.
−update seconds
Specifies the duration for confirmation of mail delivery in seconds.
−mhpath path
Specifies the directory in which mh(1) is installed. The default is /usr/new/mh.
RESOURCES
In addition to the resources defined by the widgets used by sxmail, the following are defined by the application itself.
update (class Update)
Specifies the duration for confirmation of mail delivery in seconds.
maxRecTime (class MaxRecTime)
Specifies the maximum recording time for audio (voice) data included in mail being sent.
sysAlias (class SysAlias)
Specifies the system alias file. The default is /etc/aliases.
mhpath (class MhPath)
Specifies the directory in which mh(1) is installed. The default is /usr/new/mh.
scriptPath (class ScriptPath)
Specifies the directory in which scripts executed from inside sxmail are located. The default is /usr/lib/X11/sx/sxmail.
MULTI LANGUAGE SUPPORT
Japanese (Shift-JIS/EUC), Korean (EUC) and English (ISO 8859-1) are supported.
