NAME

machine, cputype − get machine information

SYNOPSIS

machine [ name ]
cputype [ name ]

DESCRIPTION

Machine or cputype prints the name of the machine or the type of the CPU.  If an argument is given, it will be compared to the name of the machine or the type of the CPU, and nothing is printed.  This is useful for checking the exit status.
