NAME
chkbmap − change the keyboard mapping
SYNOPSIS
chkbmap { −r | −h | country }
DESCRIPTION
chkbmap changes the keyboard mapping which was used by the console of the NEWS bitmap display, to the keymap which is specified by country.
This command is used to change the keyboard mapping on kernel memory.
The selectable country is one of the followings:

For details on the each keymap, refer to NWM-660 "NEWS-OS Release 4.0 User’s Guide".
The default keymap is corresponds to the language selected when it is installed.
In order to reset the keyboard mapping to default, if you have changed, execute chkbmap command with the default keymap argument again or reboot the system.
−r gets the current keymap (country) on kernel memory.
−h prints a usage message.
