NAME

chkeymap − change the keyboard mapping

SYNOPSIS

chkeymap country

DESCRIPTION

chkeymap changes the keyboard mapping which was used by the console of the NEWS bitmap display, to the keymap which is specified by country. 

The selectable countrys are;

ITARIA:italianorItalian
SPAIN:spanishorSpanish

For details on the each keymap, refer to the "Release Note" of NEWS-OS Release 3.3. 

The default keymap is corresponds to the language selected when it is installed. 
 

Once chkeymapis changed, if the original keymap is needed to use, execute the same command with the default keymap argument again or reboot the system. 

To get the current keymap, use getcountry command.
