CPUSTATUS(8)  —  MAINTENANCE COMMANDS

NAME

cpustatus − examine and modify the enable status of all CPUs

SYNOPSIS

/usr/etc/cpustatus  [ −cpu_number ]  [ +cpu_number ]

DESCRIPTION

cpustatus allows CPUs in a multi-CPU machine to be enabled and disabled.  The master CPU is always assigned CPU number 0, and its status may not be altered.  All slave CPUs are arbitrarily assigned a unique CPU number, and their status will be altered if possible.

Only the super-user can change the enable status of a CPU.

OPTIONS

cpustatus without any arguments prints the current enable status and type of all CPUs.

−cpu_number
disables the specified cpu.

+cpu_number
