DESCRIPTION
sga is a Solbourne designed graphics accelerator designed to improve Sunview and X11 performance. It has an 8-bit color frame buffer and provides the standard frame buffer interface as defined in fbio(4S).
The sga device occupies one physical SBUS slot, and up to three boards can be installed.
The device interfaces /dev/sga20, /dev/sga21, and /dev/sga22 are provided to access these boards with all Solbourne enhancements.
When the device interfaces /dev/sga10, /dev/sga11, or /dev/sga12 are accessed, then the sga emulates a standard cgfour 8-bit color frame buffer. No acceleration is available in this emulation mode.
When the device interfaces /dev/sga0, /dev/sga1, or /dev/sga2 are accessed, then the sga emulates a standard cgthree 8-bit color frame buffer.
