qref − online quick reference to basic UNIX commands

SYNOPSIS

qref

DESCRIPTION

qref is an online quick reference to basic UNIX commands.  It covers the most essential commands involving file creation, copying, moving, and deleting, and similar commands for directories.  It also covers the rudiments of the vi(1) editor. In addition, it provides suggestions on use of the man(1), whatis(1), and lookup(1) commands, which are other ways of obtaining online help.

USAGE

To use qref, type the command and choose from the categories which appear on the opening menu. Each choice leads to a second menu; after the second choice is made, a screen of reference information appears.
