NAME

mathremote − remote-access version of Mathematica

SYNOPSIS

mathremote [ −crc ] [ −run command ]

DESCRIPTION

The mathremote command runs the remote-access version of Mathematica. 

This version of Mathematica handles input and output through the packet-based MathTalk communication protocol. 

The mathremote command can be used only with a Mathematica front end which supports the MathTalk protocol. 

The mathremote command is actually a shell script, which sets terminal characteristics and executes the binary file mathexe with the option -remote. 

OPTIONS

-crcEnable CRC error checking. 

-run command
Run a Mathematica command during initialization. 

FILES

Note: The locations of Mathematica files are determined at the time of installation, and need not always be the same. 

mathexe Mathematica binary

init.m Optional initialization file

end.m Optional termination file

math.install Installation script
