NAME

abekas − simple control program for the Abekas A62

DESCRIPTION

Port 3 is connected by null modem (Pins 2 & 3 crossed, Pin 7 through ) to the RS-232 port of the A62.  Each time you run the program, you select one of four possible actions; record, loop, stop, and goto.  All numbers are expressed in fields, of which there are 60 per second at NTSC rates. 

USAGE

abekas [Rr] [ # of fields ] − record selected length
abekas [Ss] − stop
abekas [Gg] [ # ] − goto field #
abekas [Ll] [ start # ] [ length ] [ speed ] − loop a section at a given speed

A normal play speed is 1000, half speed is 500, and so on. 

COMMENTS

Type abekas -i to get the version number.  Old (unnumbered) versions will not be supported after this release. The A62 must have the RS-232 interface software installed for this to work.
