NAME
     deleteModem - delete a modem from the system

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/sysadm/privbin/deleteModem modem-name

DESCRIPTION
     deleteModem is a privileged command that deletes a modem from the system,
     freeing the serial port it was attached to for other uses.

OPTIONS
     modem-name
               The name of the modem to delete.  This corresponds to the first
               field of an entry in the /etc/uucp/Devices file.

FILES
     /etc/uucp/Devices   Specifies name, device, and baud rate of modem.
     /etc/inittab        When incoming modems are deleted, the corresponding
                         uugetty(1M) command is deleted from the inittab(4)
                         line for the serial device the modem is attached to.
     /dev/ttym*          Serial device used to communicate with the modem.
