     NAME
configkfs - configuration program for AppleShare Client

     SYNOPSIS
          /usr/etc/appletalk/configkfs [-a] [-O object ] [-T type ]
          [-Z zone ]

     DESCRIPTION
The program configkfs finds and allows users to mount
AppleShare volumes from AppleShare servers on the network.
It is a semifriendly interactive front-end to the mount(1m)
and mount_kfs(1m) programs. Users who have X displays
should use the vastly superior xkfs(1) program. The flags
          are defined as follows:

-a look in all zones (default is the local zone)

-O look for servers with this name (default is all
               servers)

-T look for this type of server (default is AFPServer)

-Z look in this zone (default is local zone)

This program looks for all AppleShare servers that match the
specified options. It then asks if you want to mount a
volume from them. If you choose to do so, it will prompt
you for a user name, password (if necessary), then give you
the option of mounting each available volume from the
server. If run by the super-user, it will give the option
of saving the mount information so the volume can be
remounted with a simple mount(1m) command. Volumes that are
mounted with configkfs can be unmounted with umount(1m)

Normally, only the super-user can run mount(1m). If you
make the configkfs program setuid root, it will allow normal
users to mount AppleShare volumes (but not NFS or real file
          systems).

When you initially mount a volume, the password is prompted
for and used. If you choose to have the password saved to
/etc/fstab, it will be saved in encrypted form.

     FILES
/etc/fstab Filesystem entries are added to
                                   this file.

          /usr/adm/appletalk/at_log
                                   Log file for AppleTalk errors.

     CAVEATS
This program is superseded by the xkfs GUI. It should only
be used when there is no display available.
