CLSHMDIAG(1M) CLSHMDIAG(1M)
NAME
clshm_diag - Diagnostic tool for CrayLink Shared Memory
SYNOPSIS
clshmdiag
DESCRIPTION
clshmdiag is a system-administrator's tool for ensuring that the
daemons, devices and driver required for communication between partitions
using shared-memory over CrayLink (clshm), have been properly set up.
clshmdiag causes the exchange of information between the clshm daemon on
the local partition, and its counterpart on every remote partition known
to the local partition. On receiving a query about the status of clshm,
the remote partitions reply stating whether or not the daemon, devices
and driver are set up as expected in that partition. If the reply states
that the remote partition is set up properly with clshm, the local
partition reports so. If not (either a bad reply arrives from the remote
partition, or the local partition times out for a reply), the local
partition identifies the partition which caused the bad reply or time-
out, so that the system-administrator can investigate the problem
further.
