NAME
amtickerd - system uptime monitor daemon
SYNOPSIS
/usr/etc/amtickerd tickfile tickduration
DESCRIPTION
amtickerd records system uptime in tickfile every tickduration seconds.
This information is used to estimate uptime in the case of a system hang.
amtickerd is enabled by the config flag tickerd (see amconfig(1M)). The
normal call made on reboot is
amtickerd /var/adm/avail/lasttick 300
If the config value statusinterval is not zero, amtickerd will send
status reports every statusinterval days.
