NAME
BackupAndRestoreManager - Shedule or Unschedule Backups, Restore Files

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/sysadm/bin/runcatalog /usr/sysadm/catalogdf/SaSchedBackupCatalog.cdf

DESCRIPTION
Managers display information about your system and provide access to
interactive guides (also called tasks) that let you administer your
system. For example, the User Manager displays a list of the user
accounts currently on the system and gives you access to guides like "Add
a User Account" and "Modify a User Account."

In a Manager window, you can open a guide by choosing its name from the
Task menu or by clicking its button at the bottom of the window.

The Backup and Restore Manager displays the set of backups that are
scheduled on your system (if any). From the Backup and Restore manager,
you may start an immediate backup, schedule a backup for a later time or
on a recurring basis, unschedule a backup, and restore backed up files.

GUIDES
Guides, also called "tasks," are interactive windows that lead users
through the steps necessary to perform various system administration
tasks, such as adding new user accounts and configuring networking on the
     system.

A guide typically consists of a series of pages that prompt users to
enter information or select options. A user navigates through guide pages
using the Prev and Next buttons (or corresponding arrow keys). When the
user reaches the last page of a guide and clicks the OK button, the
system executes one or more commands to perform the system administration
task. These commands are located in /usr/sysadm/privcmd. See backup(1M),
     restore(1M), unschedBackup(1M) for more information.

Many of the guides require that a user either know the root password or
be assigned the necessary privileges (using the privilegemanager(1)) in
     order to perform the task.

     Back Up Files
This task lets you perform or schedule a backup of files on
your system. If you schedule a backup, you may schedule it for
a single time in the future, or you may schedule a recurring
backup on a daily or weekly basis. In order to backup files
that you do not own or for which you do not have write
permission, you will need to schedule a backup as the
administrator. You will need privileges or the root password
to schedule a backup as the Administrator.

     Restore Files From a Backup
This task lets you restore files on your system from a previous
backup. The backup can be on a disk file or a tape. You will

need privileges or the root password to restore files that you
do not own or for which you do not have write permission.

     Unschedule Backup
This task lets you unschedule a previously-scheduled backup.
If the backup is scheduled as the Administrator, you will need
privileges or the root password to complete the unscheduling.
