SETAUDIODEVICE(1) SETAUDIODEVICE(1)

NAME
setAudioDevice - program to set SoundScheme audio output device

SYNOPSIS
     /usr/sbin/setAudioDevice [ whichDevice ]

DESCRIPTION
The setAudioDevice program sets the SoundScheme audio output device.
Applications that play sounds through SoundScheme (for example, the IRIX
Interactive Desktop software) will be affected. This program is not
intended to be run by end users.

If no argument is given, then SoundScheme sounds will be made to play
through the Default Output as set on the audiopanel(1) control panel. If
a non-negative integer argument whichDevice is specified on the command
line, then SoundScheme sounds will be played through this output device
if it exists; if it does not exist, the output will revert to the Default
     Output as set in audiopanel.

FILES
This program is run automatically at login from /var/X11/xdm/Xsession.dt.
