iset − change the type field of an image file

SYNOPSIS

iset newtype imagefiles

DESCRIPTION

iset sets the type field in an image file.  Programs like ipaste use the type field to display the image using the correct part of the default color map.  newtype may be normal, dithered, or screen.  normal means the image is displayed in black and white; dithered means it is displayed using the colors in the dithered color map; screen means the image file represents screen pixels.  In the last case, ipaste does no translation.  See /usr/people/gifts/mextools/images for example image files.
